One of the characteristics that Filipinos have which clearly distinguishes us from different cultures and people is our love and admiration to travel. Yes, Filipinos tend to travel more maybe because we know what we have say our natural resources, the hospitable people, and many more. Along with that, we also are aware of the negative things in our country; pollution, traffic, crime rates so that is why we crave and long for a different culture.


Being one of the countries who can offer great tourism and hospitality, Filipinos are only allowed to travel to 57 countries and territories without having the need to apply for a visa. Other countries’ citizens can travel as much as 168 – 173 countries even without a visa. We sure need to enjoy and take advantage of the privilege of travelling to 57 countries without needing a visa while it is still there.

The Philippines however allow 156 countries to enter its beautiful landscape even without a visa, of course we hope for having that same kind of advantages as well. Here are the list of Countries and Territories Filipinos can Travel without a Visa:

Asian countries that are VISA-free

ASEAN

  • Brunei – No VISA; allowed for 14 days
  • Cambodia – No VISA; allowed for 15 days
  • Indonesia – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Laos – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Malaysia – No VISA; allowed for 14 days
  • Myanmar – No VISA; allowed for 14 days
  • Singapore – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Thailand – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Vietnam – No VISA; allowed for 21 days

NON-ASEAN

  • Azerbaijan – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Taiwan – VISA is actually required. However, if you’re holding a VISA for Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Schengen countries, United Kingdom and United States, this is valid. This will then run for 30 days
  • Georgia – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 90 days
  • Hong Kong – No VISA; allowed for 14 days
  • India – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Iran – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 15 days
  • Israel – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • South Korea – No VISA required
  • (If arriving at Jeju Island only) – 30 days
  • Macau – Visa not required – 30 days
  • Maldives – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Mongolia – No VISA; allowed for 21 days
  • Nepal – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 90 days
  • Sri Lanka – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Timor Leste – No VISA; allowed for 30 days

North American countries you can visit VISA-free


  • Costa Rica – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Dominican Republic – No VISA; allowed for 21 days
  • Haiti – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • Nicaragua – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 90 days
  • Saint Lucia – No VISA; allowed for 42 days
  • Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Turks and Caicos Islands – No VISA; allowed for 30 days

South American countries that you can visit VISA-free

  • Bolivia – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • Brazil – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • Columbia – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • Equador – No VISA; allowed for 90 days
  • Peru – No VISA; allowed for 183 days
  • Suriname – No VISA; allowed for 90 days

The sole European country that accepts VISA-free travelers

  • Kosovo – No VISA; allowed for 30 days

Countries of the South Pacific that do not require VISAs

  • Cook Islands – No VISA; allowed for 31 days
  • Fiji – No VISA; allowed for 120 days
  • Marshall Islands – You will get a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Micronesia – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Niue – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Palau – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Samoa – No VISA; allowed for 60 days
  • Tuvalu – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival; this will be valid for 30 days
  • Vanuatu – No VISA; allowed for 30 days

African countries that are VISA-free

  • Burundi – No VISA; allowed for 30 days
  • Cape Verde – You will be issued a VISA upon arrival.

These are other countries where Filipinos can go even if they do not have a visa. Read them all correctly so that you are informed about your plans of travelling.

So we are allowed to travel to 57 countries without acquiring a visa. Take note that the travels you must have is just visit or tourist travels.
