Keep your Refrigerator full
All of us are aware that constantly opening the refrigerator causes heat to enter which makes the ref work more because its main use is to keep things cold, right? I’ll tell you this, having an empty ref is pretty much the same because once it is opened, more cold air will leave the refrigerator in larger sums thus making the ref work harder to maintain its coolness.
Be sure to keep your refrigerator full so that it can see where its work is going but do not put too much inside because it can also take its toll on your bill. One good tip is to choose a unit with high Energy Efficiency Factor (EEF) when you are shopping for one. This is attached to a yellow label in every unit.
Schedule ironing sessions
The iron is one of the items in your household that consumes a lot of energy; what you need to do is to be wise about it. You can schedule ironing sessions once or two times in a week; you can use board covers so it flattens two sides all at once, or of course you can use fabric conditioners so it can lessen the wrinkles on your clothes which can cut off ironing schedules and can help you save your rising electric bill.
Unplug all of your appliances
There is a study conducted that differentiated the unplugging of devices inside your home and according to the study, it can add up to Php20.00 – Php50.00 per item if you neglect and fail to unplug devices and machines that are not being used.
