Facebook’s Year In Review Guide

| , ,

Facebook has its own way of letting people remember how their year went even if they themselves were not able to put a bookmark on each memorable moment that had happened.  As this year comes to a close, Facebook’s year in feature can allow the people to reminisce by the good old days of the previous year through a short video.  A lot of people are not aware of this feature and they are also not aware that they can configure and modify what they can publicly post on Facebook of this year in feature.  In this article, you will be enlightened on how you can see, edit, and share your year in review.

First and foremost, what is this year in review?  Facebook’s Year In Review is a short personalized video that lets people highlight their best, meaningful, and most wonderful experiences throughout the year.  These includes photos you’ve been tagged in, videos, posts, anything that you’ve been a part of.

To See

You can view your Year In Review by visiting facebook.com/yearinreviewAnother way on how you can see it is to have one of your friends’ year in review and click Watch Yours.  Another is by sharing your Year In review in your news feed – you won’t be able to see it unless you share it.

To Edit

Prior to you sharing it, you can of course edit your year in review and to do that:

  • Go to  facebook.com/yearinreview
  • Click the Edit Video button and then choose whatever media you want to appear on your year in review

To Share

  • Go to  facebook.com/yearinreview
  • Click the Share button
  • Select the audience or the people whom you want to see your year in review
  • Click Post

There would be times when you will see your year in review in your News Feed when you open yours.  From there, you can also go into all of the steps we have provided.  Yes, you can share, edit, and see your year in review by clicking on Share and Edit on the bottom part of the video when it shows up.

Do not be surprised when no option is available for your year in review because you are not the only one.  Some Facebook users lack content for Facebook to automatically generate them a year in review.  The reasons for this are:

  • There may not be enough photos
  • There may not be enough content or activity

So do not feel lonely when this happens because a part of the whole Facebook population is inactive or is only active at least once a month.

Right now, people are over the hype of this because they remember what happened all throughout 2016 because of this feature by Facebook.

How about you?  Have you tried yours?
