Modifying Payment Methods in Google Play Store

Applications can be distinguished into two (2) types: free apps and paid apps. Free apps are the ones you can get without having the hassle of settling payments and it saves you money meanwhile paid apps are the apps you need to buy in order for you to use them. There are over hundreds of thousand applications in the pool and almost all of the goodies are paid apps. There are different payment methods and here is how you can modify them.


What are the different types of payments?

You can’t just rely on one payment method because when that becomes unavailable, you won’t get a chance to settle bills and payments. There are a few payment methods available in Google Play Store and here are they:

Adding a payment method

To add a payment method, go to Play Store. After arriving at the Play Store, click the menu button (three horizontal buttons) on the left side and from there, click My Account. In this section you will see your download history, order history, and the payment methods. From here you can click at any of the payment methods you wish and then proceed. You will be redirected to your Google Wallet sign-in page because you have to re-enter your Google Wallet password for safety and privacy purposes.


After signing in, you will be directed to the page where you can add the payment method of your choice.

Removing a payment method

Removing is just the same as adding one. Go to the Play Store. Then click the menu button, and My Account. Select EDIT PAYMENT METHOD, yes edit payment method. You will again be redirected to your Google Wallet sign-in page and after doing so, you will face the page where you will see the payment methods you are in. Find the payment method you want to remove; Select Remove > Yes, remove it.

Editing a payment method

Editing is somewhat similar to removing but it differs in the long-run. Go to Play Store > My Account > Edit Payment Methods. From there, you will be redirected to the Google Wallet sign-in page again and after signing in, navigate to Payment Methods; find the payment that you want to edit (e.g credit card, debit card, Paypal account, etc.) Select EDIT, make the changes and of course, do not forget to save the changes.
